For a security concept, it is also important to consider the perpetrator profiles in detail, ie it is more likely that what are known as internal perpetrators, external third parties or former students with a correspondingly detailed knowledge of the area are assumed.

The question of who is the target of a criminal act, e.g. students, teachers, staff or material assets, must also be included in the considerations. Particular risks of burglary arise from the fact that schools are generally not used on weekends and during holidays. Potential perpetrators therefore have a lot of time to break into the school building. Even high-quality mechanical safety devices can therefore be overcome if necessary.
